Thank you for your interest.

Details: The house is off 28th near the Seabee base. The room is newly remodeled. Shared bath and kitchen. Patio and parking available.

Background: My name is Jay. I'm a retired old guy and moved to Gulfport a year and half ago from Portland, Oregon. Sharing/renting to a boarder is necessary because I have only Social Security ( the extra revenue will be helpful), sometimes require help with projects(lifting, etc), watch the house as I expect to travel, and help watch Abby, my Aussie terrier.

The room has AC/ TV/ off street parking/ shared bath +kitchen/ shared patio and outdoor kitchen/ washer/dryer.
2 rooms are rented making a total of three guys sharing.
We generally also share monthly grocery shopping(avg $50 each), cooking and cleaning chores. House is in mixed race working class neighborhood where majority are long time owner occupied. Close to beach and shopping. Utilities included. Wifi. No cable, we Roku.

I'm going to be very particular on my selection; I'm not a complete curmudgeon, but I require a very special tenant.

Rent is month to month, $350 per month. Move in is first month ($350) plus clean/security deposit of $100, $25 application fee, $475 total. In addition, We share wifi and roku subscription(avg$50 each) Renter agrees to help out as detailed above and be the grass mower (self propelled) and  occasional helper. Applicant agrees to a complete application background check.

Prefer military (rooming off base), or retired military or retired/semi retired gentleman who is neat, tidy and mature. I like a pretty "dialed in" household, but I'm not a "neatness freak".

I have a lot of interests and hobbies, projects and plan to boat and fish a lot. I have a great shop to share for someone similarly inclined.

NO HEAVY DRINKING OR DRUGS!!!!

No pets or overnight visitors.

Great deal for the right person. This is a bit more than just a room rental. It'
s more of a laid back lifestyle thing: we're into cooking, leisure, music, social gatherings (after C-19 is over), hence the emphasis on an old retired dude. It's more like a combination of an Afghan Forward Fire Base, fishing camp and senior Club Med. Finding that person is the important part. In fact, you can Google Map it under: CookShakDeux, FlaminRedfishBar, and Redwhiteandbluecrystalchandelierballroom. I plan to try and interview several applicant's before making a choice.

This is "probably" a lot more hoops to jump thru to find a room for rent, so thank you in advance for indulgence.

Rented under State of Mississippi Inn-Keeper rules.
